Our History

In 1976, a group of mothers formed an organization called "Preschoolers". They started with approximately 9 moms & grew to 14 the second year. The main purpose of the group was to establish a babysitting co-op.
As the Club grew they found it necessary to make some changes. The name no longer was accurate since the children were getting older, so it was changed to Preschoolers Plus. They also had moms that wanted to be involved in the activities but did not want to participate in the babysitting co-op. Therefore, the club roster consisted of Co-op members & Social members.
In 2002, the club elected to change it's name to "The Lake Saint Louis Mothers Club".   This name change was made to help new mothers arriving in our community identify us & outside organizations to understand better who we are.
At this time we are no longer offering the babysitting co-op. (Although, we do have an active playgroup that will get together Fridays at the CA.)
The LSL Mothers Club had three objectives as outlined in its bylaws.  These bylaws are now considered our Mission Statement.
  1.  Provide support, education & social opportunities.
  2.  Sponsor organized activities for children in the community.
  3.  Raise & donate funds to support family-centered community projects.

Today...
The Lake Saint Louis Mothers Club is an organization for Mothers and their families living in Lake Saint Louis.

The LSLMC is an excellent way to make friends and to get involved in the Lake Saint Louis community. Our organization raises money throughout the year in order to help our community. We have been responsible for thousands of dollars donated to the Lake St. Louis community to promote improvement for parks, playgrounds, pools, schools and the local library. We have a weekly playgroup for preschool aged children and activities for school aged children up to teens. The organization also provides the Lake St. Louis community with wonderful holiday celebrations and programs for growth and education at no charge. Whether you are a "Career" or "Stay at Home" mom this organization has something for you.

The many dynamic women in this group are simply people who want to make a difference in their community, while providing safe entertainment for their children.

For more information, please contact any of our Officers, located under the Membership section of this site.

Club members & their children get together weekly for playgroup. Getting together with other moms & their children  for a little social time is one of the best sited reasons to join the Moms Club.

Children's Events
LSL Mothers Club sponsors free community events for all the children of Lake St. Louis. Through the dedication and volunteer efforts of our members and the business community, each year we provide a Halloween Party, a Santa's Workshop and an Easter Egg Hunt as well as other events. These events are packed full of fun for children of all ages with games, crafts, prizes and visits from Santa and the Easter Bunny. Participating in these celebrations give a strong sense of community that make Lake St. Louis a special place to live.

Adult Socials
The LSL Mothers Club also provides adult events for members and their spouses. These events help members to get to know each other and have some fun. The LSL Mothers Club moms also enjoy this opportunity for their husbands to meet each other. Some of the exciting adult socials we've had include a semi-formal Valentine's Day Dance, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, and a Flotilla on the Lake.
