One Mission. Two Levels of Leadership

Executive Board

The Executive Board provides direction, financial oversight, and ensures alignment with our mission and bylaws.
Requirement: Must be a current LSLCA member.
Positions:

General Board

The General Board brings our mission to life through events, communication, and member engagement.
Eligibility: May be non-LSLCA members.
Positions:
  • Marketing/PR Coordinator
  • Communications Coordinator
  • Family Social Coordinator
  • AM Playdate Coordinator
  • PM Playdate Coordinator

Expectations of All Board Members

Serving on the LSLMC Board is both a leadership role and a commitment to our village. Below is an overview of what board service includes.

Meetings**

Membership Meetings
  • Held at least quarterly
  • Board members are expected to attend and participate
  • A quorum of one-third of traditional membership is required to conduct business
Board Meetings
  • Held at least quarterly
  • Ongoing communication between meetings is expected
  • A quorum is a majority of voting board members
  • Board members serve one term aligned with the annual membership cycle
  • The President may not serve more than two consecutive terms
  • A member may hold only one Executive Board position per term
Outgoing and incoming board members participate in a formal transition meeting to ensure continuity.
This includes transferring:
  • Financial and electronic account access
  • Sponsor and partner information
  • Storage and materials details
  • Active project updates

Shared Responsibilities**

While each role has specific duties, all board members share responsibility for supporting the mission of the Lake Saint Louis Mothers Club.

Board members collectively:
Support sponsorship and advertising efforts
​Maintain and engage in social and electronic communications
Review and ensure accuracy of the club’s online presence
Engage current and prospective members
Support the club calendar and programming

How much time does it take?
Time commitment varies by role but averages 5-20 hours per month depending on LSLMC Board size and position.

Can I serve with young children?
Yes! Many of our board members are actively mothering littles.
